1. What this is
IotMentor is a chat-based product that gives planning guidance for embedded/IoT hardware projects. Using it means agreeing to these terms.
2. Not professional or safety-critical advice
Responses are AI-generated guidance for hobbyist and early-prototype work — not a substitute for a qualified engineer's sign-off, and not for medical, automotive, aviation, or other safety-critical or regulated applications. Cost/time estimates are ranges, not quotes.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for your credentials and account activity. Tell us immediately about suspected unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
No unlawful use, no bulk scraping/reselling the mentor logic, no circumventing rate limits or Turnstile, no uploading content you don't have the right to share.
5. Free tier and future paid tiers
Phase 1 is free with reasonable usage limits. Paid tiers may follow (Phase 2); changes affecting existing usage will be communicated in advance.
6. Intellectual property
The product and its engine are proprietary. You retain ownership of what you submit, and grant us a limited license to process it to serve your responses and saved builds.
7. No warranty
Provided "as is." We don't warrant recommendations are error-free or fit for your specific project — verify before ordering parts or writing firmware.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the product.
9. Termination
Delete your account any time. We may suspend accounts violating section 4, with notice where practical.
10. Governing law
Laws of [EU member state where the company is registered] — confirmed once incorporated.
11. Changes
Material changes posted here with an updated date; active users notified before they take effect.
